Elvem supplies three-phase two-pole asynchronous electric motors in cast iron. The size ranges from MEC 160 to 450, in efficiency IE4, IE3, IE2, and IE1.
Standard asynchronous electric motors with Elvem cast iron casing
As of 2017, the acronym 7T identifies electric asynchronous three-phase single-pole motors with cast iron casing made by Elvem:
- 7T4, IE4 efficiency
- 7Q3, IE3 efficiency
- 7T2, IE2 efficiency
- 7Q1, IE1 efficiency

Cast Iron Motors
Elvem cast iron motors have SKF bearings as standard, PTC thermal circuit breakers and external brass grease nipple for periodic lubrication of bearings
The ground terminals are places outside and inside of the terminal box.
The fins are designed to ensure uniform cooling.
Painting is done with multiple cycles to provide the motor with excellent protection against oxidation.
